Tonight is Burns Night in Scotland. To celebrate I wanted to photograph some haggis, it's the traditional thing to eat on burns night so I went super traditional with Haggis Neeps and Tatties. I decided to put a modern spin on the traditional meal by photograph the whole meal, whisky sauce and all on a fork with a bright coloured background. Couldn't make it look anymore Scottish unless I dressed it in a kilt.
I was picturing this in my head and thought "This is great" what would make this even better would be to create a series, what's better than one traditional meal, 4. So I decided to take 4 traditional meals from around the world and photograph them all on a fork. I went with sausage and mash for the warming pub grub english meal, spaghetti and meatballs for a traditional Italian dish. My last image was the American pancakes with crispy bacon and golden syrup because well... I didn't think a burger would fit on a fork.
